Black Swan Ranch History
Our family has always loved horses and tried to achieve the best partnership possible between ourselves and our four legged friends! We moved to the "ranchlette" in 2005 and have owned and operated it since.
Meet the Flaherty Family
Bart is the long suffering skier in the family :) He got into horses after his two daughters showed an interest in the equine world. Bart can now be found working on the various projects needing to be completed (mainly fences!) around the place, or riding his paint mare JJ on the trail.
Sue Anne, the ranch mom, has had a love for horses since she was a very young child. Currently Sue Anne is the Red Dressage Instructor for Westernaires (a precision drill team based out of Jefferson County, CO) and is a distributer for high quality food and vitamin supplements for humans and our furry friends.
Meagan, oldest daughter and sometime Trainer/Manager of the property, has been working with horses since she was three years old. She attended Equine Training and Management classes for two years and has been training professionally since 2003.
UPDATE 07/08/2009 - Meagan has moved to Florida to be with her husband while he is in training for the US Navy.
Siobhan, second daughter and part-time Trainer of BSR, has also been in love with horses since she was a little girl. She is a graduate in Equine Science from CSU and has showed her Friesian/Arabian cross at IFSHA shows.
